Brian Shield serves as an Executive Advisory Partner at M37 Ventures, with a background in CIO and CTO leadership across sports, media, and enterprise technology.
He is SVP and Chief Technology Officer of the Boston Red Sox, where he leads technology strategy, fan engagement, IT operations, and cybersecurity across the organization and Fenway Sports Management. Prior to this role, Brian served as EVP and CIO of The Weather Channel for thirteen years, overseeing technology for weather.com, mobile, data and analytics, broadcast, and strategic partnerships.
Earlier in his career, he was CIO of FTD, Inc., managing global IT operations across more than 125 countries, and CTO of Scudder, Stevens & Clark. He has been named Georgia CIO of the Year, is a Technology Emmy Award winner, and received the Georgia CIO Leadership Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
